What should we bring?
It is best to come in layered clothing. The temperature ranges from 40 to 70 degrees with varied and sudden weather changes. It is important to bring rain gear to include a hat, gloves, and waterproof walking boots. Overnight guests please bring slippers or slip resistant socks for wearing inside the lodge on the hardwood floors. Don’t forget your camera and sunglasses.
IMPORTANT: Please bring any medications you may need!
What Camera Gear should I have?
The most important thing to remember is that once you are here, there is no way to obtain any additional gear. So things like extra memory cards, batteries, and perhaps a backup camera are all things you need to consider. Most guest utilize larger telephoto lenses at least 300mm or greater (plus teleconverters) for much of their photography. The area is very scenic and a medium focal length and a wide angle would be great to have. We also highly recommend that you have rain gear for your equipment. You may want to opt for a monopod instead of a tripod, as they will prove easier to get in and out of the vehicle as well as faster to setup for the shot.
Is there a weight and luggage limit when flying in a chartered plane?
Yes, smaller charters allow an average weight of 180 lbs per person and approximately 50 lbs. of luggage. Please contact us with additional gear that exceeds these weight limits. It is best to bring a duffle bag instead of a hard suitcase, which works best in the small compartments of a chartered plane. We do offer laundry service mid week.
