This part of the lodge puts the homestead in Alaska Homestead Lodge; parts of it were built in the 1950s by the original homestead, the trapper Jo Munger. Our comfortable main lodge has seven rooms and holds up to twelve people. There is a large kitchen and dining area upstairs, with living areas and four rooms downstairs. There is also a large gathering room for socializing, with three more rooms attached at the end. All of our accommodations have Wi-Fi and 24-hr electricity.
Wanting a more personalized and intimate experience? We also offer our exclusive Cottage. It sleeps four to six people, comes with a personal guide and private meals served in the cottage dining room. The cottage contains a large TV and TV room, four bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and three bathrooms. All of our accommodations have Wi-Fi and 24-hr electricity. This offer is popular with families and close friend groups. Sit in your private lounge, watching the bears walk by, while the chef cooks you fresh meals!
The cottage is typically booked for 4-6 people for a minimum of three days. If you wish to book it for less than four people, please contact us to discuss pricing.
After a busy day of bear photography and field activities, your guide will bring you back for our fabulous meals. Our chef makes all of the food fresh, on site, including homemade breads and desserts and featuring locally sourced seafood. We take advantage of the extended daylight to grow a garden and greenhouse to bring something fresh into the menu every day.
